You may remember my shopping list for bumpy post way back when I was preggers.?! Well after actually having Sam and using (or not using!) the items I had on the shopping list here are what I use and what I’ve additionally purchased or been given that I have found handy. Both for him and for me.
A baby bath with a bathing aid it’s like a wedge you pop in the bath and then lay Bub in it, it keeps their head up without you literally having to keep his head up which if you are like me (paranoid of him drowning!) this is such a good buy & from Kmart.
The Bugaboo Buffalo pram may look like a truck but it’s so good for farm living! It’s been in a horse float, on the back of a Ute, in paddocks, on bumpy dirt roads for our daily walks! And it’s still in one piece! Hardy is an understatement.
A change table is so handy! Mine has storage underneath it which is so fab for hiding things!!
A bassinet- with wheels! Sam is still in his bassinet – I’m not ready for him to go into his big cot yet!!
Cocoonababy: This was so good!! I used it for Sam up until he was 4 months in his bassinet and pram! The semi-fetal posture helps to: reduce involuntary jerky movements which wake babies with a start and make them cry, limit the risk of ‘flat head syndrome’ (positional plagiocephaly)limit gastric reflux, improve the interaction between the baby and those around (the baby’s gaze is neither fixed towards the ceiling nor always towards the same side) Coonababys are $299.00 the best investment yet!
A play gym/mat are so good for their hand eye coordination skills and keep them entertained while you have a quick shower lol Sam loves his!
The Grace File Care + Notes Journal – I have recorded all Sam’s immunisations, illnesses, growth & developmental milestones & record down any proud moments & worldly advice. It’s so much prettier than the blue book the hospital gives you!!
Rodan + Fields Multi Function Eye Cream has been a lifesaver for my bags under my eyes due to sleepless nights! REDEFINE® Multi-Function Eye Cream combines powerful peptides to minimize the appearance of crow’s-feet while rich antioxidants and optical filters noticeably firm the area under the eye for a more vibrant and youthful appearance. This formula is ideal for maintaining the delicate skin around the eyes.
For the commencement of solids the Spill Proof Bowl is so handy.
The best breastfeeding top – the Murkaby Cami.
And last but not least the breast pump!!! SO good for relieving engorged breasts and helping to establish your milk and relieve your sore nipples at the beginning! I know some people don’t like breast pumps but I am an advocate for them!
Cheers & Love xxx
