WHO IS EMILY QUIGLEY?

My name is Emily Quigley. I am a mum of a beautiful little boy with another baby on the way. We live on my husband’s family farm in Central NSW. I run a pearl jewellery business with a flagship store and workroom in Trangie NSW.

You own a beautiful pearl jewellery brand Peggy & Twig – talk to us about the brand, how did it come about and what inspired the brand to what it is today? 

Jewellery making was a creative pastime that began during my uni days in Armidale and continued throughout my school teaching years. Peggy & Twig was featured in the early days of the Buy From The Bush drought initiative, and this transitioned my hobby to a full-time business which overtook my teaching career. The brand is very close to my heart and has evolved over the past five years into a classic and timeless choice for new and returning customers. 

You have a lovely shop in Trangie NSW where you showcase your jewellery. How would you describe your aesthetic?

Peggy & Twig is brought together by minimal and classic quality finishes with a contemporary edge. The design of our workroom and store is the product of a purposefully renovated former stock and station agent building which reflects what we create. The brand aesthetic has evolved as my personal style and taste have developed over the years. It’s a treat to come to work in our Peggy & Twig space.

You always look so stylish. What is your go-to look for a typical workday?

Comfort is key. I wear natural fibres and love a neutral or classic
palette. I am usually wearing jeans and boots with a cozy woollen knit.

Holiday Destination? Shoal Bay, central coast NSW

Do you have a superpower?! Organisation and finding pockets of time to work around my young family.
