Meet the 'Wandillah Top' - Wandillah is where Tom, Sam and myself live - it is just out of Burra in the Mid North of SA.
The beautiful stone homestead was built by Edmund Bowman in 1845 - the man who built the iconic Martindale Hall. Wandillah has always had horses on it, I am often finding old horse shoes scattered around the property. I continue this tradition with my three horses Magic, Wolfie & Lord Aspen! Much to Tom & my father in law's dismay!!! 🐎
Wandillah is looking rather dry at the moment but in 'normal' seasons this is where we do our cropping program 🌾and finish off our sheep 🐑ready for market. Across the road we have some magnificent rolling hills that provide fabulous views. ✨
The Wandillah Top was named after Wandillah as it has many different aspects to the way you can wear it, much like the property it can produce🌾 crops, graze sheep 🐑 and of course is the home of my family and horses!!! This top can be worn with a high neck also and with or without the ties and for that added warmth you can layer it with the Murkaby Cami - much like our farming program - the Murkaby ewes are trucked down to Wandillah for shearing and finishing the lambs off! They work perfectly together! #irisandwool ✨
